Wishng you „Bon apetite” it would be a good idea to give you some interesting facts connected with cooking. Do you know that first cookbooks were written at the end of the 18th century and they were mainly translated from French language ? It was really difficult to learn how to cook from these books because they did not gave us any propartions, the time of cooking as well as any details of the way of preparing the meal. It was not until the second half of the 19th century that the first and most famous book written by Lucyna Ćwierciakiewiczowa appeared. It was the most famous book among our grandmothers. The author of the book gave us very precious advice, unfortunately the archaic language used in that book does not allow us to comprehend what is written there in a proper way. |
